Venkat Kumar Gangai Amaren (born 7 November 1975), better known by his stage name Venkat Prabhu, is an Indian film director, actor and playback singer in Tamil cinema.
Venkat Prabhu is a Tamil filmmaker who has directed and acted in several successful movies, such as Chennai 600028, Saroja, Mankatha and Maanaadu. He is the son of Gangai Amaran and has a brother Premgi Amaren, also a director.
