Saira Banu (born 23 August 1944) is an Indian actress who mainly worked in Hindi films. Regarded as one of Indian cinema's finest actresses, she was among the most popular actresses of the 1960s and early 1970s. Banu received four Filmfare Awards nominations throughout her career.
Saira Banu was the 3rd highest paid actress in Hindi Cinema from 1963-1969 and 4th highest paid actress from 1971-1976. She was the lead actress of the all-time favorite comedy film Padosan, which had a long line of comic actors like Mehmood, Kishore Kumar, Sunil Dutt, Mukri, Keshto Mukherjee, etc.
