ABOUT THE ARTIST. Grammy Nomimated Richard Baratta was born into a musically oriented family in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1950. He began his musical journey at the age 12, playing saxophone, flute and drums, and eventually, exclusively drums. He played mostly jazz all through his teens.

Nov 10, 2023 · During the 1970s and early 80s Richard Baratta played drums in the jazz clubs of New York but gave this up in 1984 to pursue a career in film production. After working on over 50 movies including Joker , The Wolf of Wall Street and The Irishman he returned to performing jazz in 2016.
