Sir Nicholas Robert Hytner ( / ˈhaɪtnər / HYTE-nər; born 7 May 1956) is an English theatre director, film director, and film producer. He was previously the Artistic Director of London's National Theatre. His major successes as director include Miss Saigon, The History Boys and One Man, Two Guvnors.
Nicholas Hytner is a British director and producer of theatre and film, known for The Madness of King George, The Crucible and The History Boys. He was born in 1956 in Manchester, England, and has won a BAFTA Award and directed for the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
