    Peter Urie (born October 1956) is a British television and film producer.

    He notably created Art Attack for ITV. Upon his company, The Media Merchants, he joined the company on a five-year contract as Head of Global Production and was placed in charge of Thomas & Friends, Sooty and Fireman Sam. He was an executive producer for Gullane Entertainment during the sixth and seventh seasons, and the Jack and the Sodor Construction Company spin-off series. During the sixth series, Britt Allcroft also served as executive producer, but Urie became sole executive producer for the seventh season when Allcroft stepped away from the role.

    Following Gullane Entertainment's acquisition by HiT Entertainment, he also gained responsibility for Bob the Builder and other shows. He left HiT in 2005 following the end of his contract and its acquisition by Apax Partners. He joined film distributor Metrodome the same year, becoming its CEO.
