Solo and film appearances (1956–1959) In July 1956, Eddie Cochran's first "solo artist" single was released by Crest Records. It featured "Skinny Jim", now regarded as a rock-and-roll and rockabilly classic.

At this age Elvis Presley had not stepped into Sun Studios to record his first songs. I am sure that every fan of Eddie Cochran will appreciate that he started so early in his career.
