Throughout the 1940s vocalist Georgia Gibbs was a regular on the Jimmy Durante-Gary Moore radio show but although she had been recording since 1936, chart success eluded her until 1950 when she scored a No. 5 hit with "If I Knew You Were Comin' I'd 'Ve Baked A Cake".
