Sarah Marshall Kernochan ( / ˈkɛərnəkɛn / KAIR-nə-ken; born December 30, 1947) is an American documentarian, film director, screenwriter and novelist. She is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including two Academy Awards ( Documentary Feature for Marjoe in 1973 and Documentary Short Subject for Thoth in 2002) Early life.

The premise of the film is simple: young women do better in a supportive environment: life is rarely so simple. In the story, Miss Godard's all girl academy has nurtured young female minds, but has also been subject to neglect, by the alumni, as well as by an indifferent 1960s society.
