Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word issues after the recent Office updates I use Interop.Word from a Winforms application for interaction with Word documents. Everything was okay until the latest Office 365 updates on 10/31. Word hangs when used from within Interop.Word. Issue resolved itself when Office update is rolled back.

Aug 23, 2024 · I moved to Microsoft 365 Office Family installation. Same as un-installation it halted nearly at the end of the process and stayed idle for 3 hours. I checked in Control Panel > Programs and Apps > Installed Apps. Microsoft 365 Office was shown but the task was idle in Task Manager. I restarted the PC and this time Office displayed it’s all set.
