Jun 29, 2018 · John Parrott is the former English Snooker player. He is best known for his victory in World Snooker Championship back in 1991. John also won the UK Championship title in 1991 and became one of the five players to win both championships in the same calendar year.
John has been in 33 professional finals, winning 15 of them. Nine of those wins have come in ranking events. Six of his ranking wins have been overseas. The 1998/99 season was his 11th consecutive in the top 16 of the world rankings.
John Parrott took a 7–0 lead against Jimmy White in the final with near flawless snooker in the first session, and although White reduced his arrears to 8–12 at one stage, Parrott eventually won 18–11, again with a seven frame advantage.
