Feb 25, 2010 · Cancelled my Green Flag monthly payment as I bought a new car that had a years breakdown cover. Cancelled the policy after paying approx. £30 on a £99 policy. They are saying that I have to pay a cancellation fee of almost £50. Not sure of the maths on this one, but I am being threatened with debt collectors after one week.
Aug 2, 2019 · It seems to be GreenFlag. The same level of cover is offered but c. £37.50/annum cheaper with a £40 excess. My car is fairly young and very reliable, so I'd be happy to accept a £40 excess for a nigh on £40/annum discount. I contacted GreenFlag and the agent didn't have a clue. He said they don't offer excesses, but that GreenFlag does also ...

After a quarter of a century of being with the AA, I finally gave them the boot. £160 renewal as a Gold member. £69 to join Green Flag with the equivalent cover. Got fed up with the price increase each year and having to waste my time calling them to knock a few quid off. I've not used them for years anyway.

So, went on line and got quote from Green Flag site for next level higher cover (Recovery Plus as apposed to Recovery) of £76.16!. Telephoned Green Flag and got explanation ...
Feb 12, 2022 · 12 February 2022 at 2:24PM. Hi, I am looking at taking out breakdown cover for my van and car. My van transit connect 155,000 miles on it, car has only done 40,000 miles. I’ve looked at RAC and the limit is 150k I think, so that rules them out. Greenflag don’t seem to have any mileage limit, but reviews online don’t look to great.
Mar 15, 2017 · Do the breakdown cover services like Greenflag repair punctures? If so, and you were at home and had a puncture, would they come out and repair it in your driveaway if you had Rescue Plus. 0

Hi, Just had my renewal through from Greenflag for my Breakdown cover, which has gone up, again. So I decided to look around, and found I can get cheaper cover, with cash back, from both the AA and RAC.
The only major downside, according to some, especially the hard and fast AA, RAC and Green Flag users, is the fact that you pay and reclaim the money - there is a 24 hour breakdown number to call - not 0870 or 0845 either - nice one Auto Aid, who despatch the recovery truck/mechanic out to you.
Oct 15, 2017 · My experience is that deals for breakdown cover with insurance are not as low as going with some quite reputable deals available on the Internet, using Green Flag. Also, make sure you are getting the cover you need - breakdown cover can get expensive when you start paying for extras that you don't need, e.g. European cover and you have no intention of going abroad.
Apr 9, 2021 · Green Flag have recently written to me to say there is possible change in the arrangements for breakdown insurance. It's an administrative change, the cover itself remains in place. The change is that Green Flag Limited will be arranging and administering the cover, instead of UK insurance Limited (UKI) as at present.
