I've seen Sian Williams flash more, and that's for the whole morning on the Breakfast sofa (and a better sight for males too IMO )
Aug 25, 2007 · The fuss wasn't because Emily Maitlis was wearing a skirt, as has been pointed out she frequently wears shorter ones than on that occasion. The problem was the casual way in which she was sitting on the desk, which some people thought was inappropriate for a serious news programme (or even the trail for a serious news programme).

Yet Laura Kuenssberg seems to only ever get managerial pushback when the most undeniable breaches happen.

And they have the same approach, too -- topical but also timeless. The difference, of course, is the profile of Maitlis and Sopel.

Oct 19, 2024 · Emily Maitlis said she found Nicola Sturgeons tribute particularly elegant in that it was graceful but not sugarcoated - a hard balance to get right. It was a good episode. It is difficult for broadcasters, looking to try to keep this on topic, as to how they separate the political life of the individual, and the personal life of the individual.
Emily Maitlis was presenting NewsNight last night. She well known face on BBC London TV. It was nice to see someone who was cheery on the show.
