Peter went to great lengths to hide his identity (even cutting out all of the tags from his clothing), but surely someone out there knows who he is. This story reminds me so much of Lyle Stevik's. There are so many similarities, yet in Peter's case, he is captured on video and has many identifying features, such as pancreatic cancer and having survived a prior heart attack.

Couldn’t really figure out a way to caption this in a way to give his story justice. For those curious, just search “Peter Bergmann”, that’s the (fake) name he used in the days leading up to his death. It all happened in my home county when I was about 7. Wish I had a great story and could say I met or even saw him- but I didn’t.
