The Mother 3 GSF is already dumped as we all saw, but it’s not yet tagged or timed: meaning the names won’t show up (they’re according to the Sound Player for most part) and the tracks won’t finish properly – on my OST here, every song lasts for 2:05 minutes, even small sections like Open Sesame Oil.
So this hack is mainly 3 things: a total re-balancing of the game in terms of difficulty and costs of items and PSI, a massive text edit back to the Mother 2 original stuff (where it works), and recently thanks to Coil Snake a visual overhaul of all Battle sprites, some backgrounds, and some over world sprites. A little while ago I went ahead and made an early version of a guide I was writing up on graphics hacking for Mother 3, you can look at it here. It’s geared towards translating the games, but the ideas are the same, especially with NLCompressor (which is a great tool).
Mother 3.5 is a fangame taking place shortly after the events of Mother 3, continuing the story of Lucas and his friends. Starting as a small, unprofessional after school project, Reconstructed Dragon, so me, slowly got more and more helpers, making the once RPG maker XP based game to a Game Maker created game, with a deep, Itoi like storyline, an improved graphics style and huge potential.
