Nov 18, 2021 · 18 November 2021 at 6:20PM. My Wife's car insurance is due for renewal and she received a letter from Direct Line saying they won't be offering to renew the policy. When she rang to ask why, they said that the underwriter's terms had changed and they no longer cover this type and age of vehicle.

Jul 31, 2020 · Home insurance LV or Direct LIne. I got my renewal quote from LV on my home insurance and it was exactly the same as last year, the excess total is £ 350. Comparison sites showed LV higher than my renewal qoute. It also showed Direct Line £ 40 cheaper or the same price as LV if I lowered the excess down to £ 100.
Aug 23, 2009 · Having had the same insurer (Direct Line) for nine years and doing the automatic renewal - sheer laziness but i thought as i was paying through the nose, I had a very good policy. Not the case! Just tried to make a claim with Directline having suffered a power cut for over three days, loosing contents of F/F, engineer call out charges etc.

Jun 18, 2019 · Anyway, because I have put several addresses in on Direct line, they are now declining to offer me insurance. Does anyone know how long this lasts with Direct line and is it worth me trying again. I had a genuine reason for the quotes yet I’ve been made out to be trying to fiddle the system! The quote with them was £340.
