The movie is about an older and a younger thief or hitman, and there's a big caper/payday at the start with no real focus on it, just kind of a "this is where the goods came from" thing. I believe the older of the two was the only participant among the two in the event that yielded the loot, and has hidden the loot in or near a coastal/island town where he lives or visits frequently.
