I never contended otherwise. My point was that your framing is untethered from reality. A tracker like BTN is desired, in that there is massive demand for access, but it is inaccessible to most. Demonoid was always just barely private, and it took effectively zero effort to join. Whether that's good or bad is subjective.

When I did this my client asked me if I wanted to merge trackers, and I said yes, as there's only 1 tracker. I did the same thing on RuTracker and it's working fine, no issue.
