Poor old Jennifer's Body. This movie gets a lot of hate, and it deserves none of it. Maybe it's because Diablo Cody is a controversial writer; maybe it's because Megan Fox is considered to be a bad actress; maybe it's because it was marketed as a sexy movie for boys when it's actually a movie about female friendship. Maybe it's all of the above.
Call me trash, but Jennifer's Body's crying out for gratuitous sex and gore. The emotional elements were impressive, however. I bought Needy and Chip's relationship and came to like them a lot. Chip's a sweetheart; even his ego's charming. Needy and Jennifer's last scene together is satisfyingly tragic. The sporadic comedy's also good.
