Downing College sits amidst 20 acres of beautiful grounds, yet it is within half a mile of the historic centre of Cambridge. The buildings date back to the beginning of the 19th century and are predominantly neo-classical in style conveying a sense of elegance and spaciousness.
Cambridge is on the main lines from London King's Cross and London Liverpool Street. Downing College is situated about three quarters of a mile from the station and is served by regular buses and taxis. By Bus. Cambridge's main bus station, Drummer Street, is only a five-minute walk from the College.
