WWT Slimbridge has a Gold accreditation from Visit England and received a silver award for Accessibility and Inclusion at the South West Tourism Awards. The centre consists of a collection of birds, mammals, amphibians, play areas, restaurant, gift shop and several interactive conservation exhibits including a walk through aviary, theatre, museum and accommodation. There is a nature reserve and for keen bird watchers there are several bird hides including the accessible Estuary Tower with stunning views across the Severn Estuary. WWT Slimbridge offers a fantastic day out for all the family. There are events and activities running throughout the year including canoe safari in the summer.   This is an interesting and informative day out for anyone interested in birds.Lots of walks down to the river estuary with lakesto see variety of birds.Plenty of free parking. more
